My NEW Badminton Racket

My favorite sport is badminton. My dad teaches me how to play it. A week ago, when my dad came home, he bought me my own racket. The racket was so nice!

The reason why he bought me this is because in school there's a competition in badminton for grades 3 - 4. Each class must have 2 representatives. The class chose C.G. and me. So, I told my mom and dad. My dad has been teaching me badminton before.

It's hard but I know I can do it. I hope my partner and I do well. I'll just keep on practicing until I get it.

Lovin' some Reading

I just love reading! I enjoy reading a lot. I was inspired in reading when I was in grade 1.

1st two almost thick books I read was Junie B, Jones - Is (almost) a Flower Girl, The Yucky Blucky Fruit Cake by Barbara Park. The book Junie B. Jones was a very funny book. Junie B Jones thinks she's already a grown up. The B. stands for Beatrice, but she doesn't like Beatrice so it became into a B. She has two best friends, Lucille and Grace. This was a gift from mom in Christmas.

2nd was Heidi by Johanna Spyri. Heidi was a spirited child, and loved to play. She went to Frankfurt to visit her Grandfather. I enjoyed reading this book. Mom bought this for me.

3rd was Meet Felicity by Valerie Tripp (book one). This book is from the American Girls Collection (the books in this collection tells the stories of six American girls who lived long ago). Felicity, a spunky, spritely colonial girl, full of energy and independence. Mom bought this for me.

4th Felicity Learns A Lesson by Valerie Tripp (book two). This is just the second book of "Meet Felicity". This is when Felicity goes to school. Back then, it was very important for young girls to learn fancy sewing. Mom bought this for me when I got sick.

5th my favorite book, Nancy Drew - The Clue Of The Leaning Chimney, The Ringmaster's Secret by Carolyn Keene. These two books are given to me by my mom in Christmas. I read this book two days after Christmas, then when I had finished one book, I loved Nancy Drew books ever since. I have begged mom a lot of times to buy me some more Nancy Drew books, but until now, I still have 2 Nancy Drew books.
But my best friend has more than 10 Nancy Drew books that she have never read yet. So we borrowed each other books, then when we are finished reading with them, we switch. So every week we had books to read.

6th was Nancy Drew - A Novelization of the Hit Movie. I always wanted to watch the movie, but we didn't watch it. :( Luckily, my aunt knew I loved Nancy Drew Books, she gave me a book of the movie, and it includes 8 pages of full-color photos from the movie!

7th was Nancy Drew - The Secret of the Old Clock. The #1 book of Nancy Drew. The first mystery Nancy has solved. I borrowed this book from my classmate.

There are a lot more books that I have read.
But those are JUST some.

Braces

I just got my braces on! It's hard to eat with them. That's why I only eat soft meals, like, noodles, soup, etc...

When my dentist put on my braces it didn't hurt a bit, but after a while hurts. But it takes 2 hours to put on braces.

Picnic : La Mesa Ecopark

It has been months since I have blogged.

It was a bright Friday morning. We are going to have a picnic with my mom's blog friends and their kids. So we got on the car and started our trip to La Mesa Ecopark. But before we got there, we stopped by Grill Queen, to buy some grill fish. We waited for a long time. After some time were back on the road.

We're here! When we got there, we met a friend, a daughter of one of my mom's friends. Me, VGood, MagNate, and our new friend went to the slide and started playing.

After some time the others got to the picnic. Me and my sister met some new friends.



Then we went biking! (Mom didn't take any photo of us when we were biking). After biking, we ate.... it was so much fun!
After we ate, the mommies chatted, and us, the kids, played. :DWe had so much fun. We found a log, and made it into a rocket ship.

All together: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, BLAST OF!

After some time we are going to climb up the stairs which leads to the dam.

That's really long.

When I got up, I was tired and sweating.

It's pretty windy up here.

And on our way down, we saw some benches and sat down and cool off for a while.

Then after that, the rain started pouring. We all rushed down, packed up our things, and stopped by at tita Wenchie's house. Then when the rain was already gone, we went home.

What a day!
We had fun, and I'm excited for the next picnic!

Kipper!! = )

Last week, Sunday, we went to Tiendesitas. We are going to buy a hamster cage. We had fun looking at the animals in Tiendesitas. We saw a turtle, it was beautiful.

After a few days, Kipper came!! We stared at him a long time. He is so cute! He ran on his wheel.

After a while, Kipper got tired. He slept peaceful and adorable!

Kipper is so cute and adorable. I'm afraid to carry him, because his feet will tickle my hand. And I will know that I should get used to holding him. = )

My Field Trip

Today I had lots of fun 'cause we had a Field Trip.

First we went to "Avilon Zoo". While we were on the bus, I was seating with my best friend B.P. We shared our food together, we talked a lot, we played thumb wrestling, reload (reload is a hand game). Our trip from school to the zoo is 30 minutes or 1 hour.

Then we were there! When me, and my classmates, went out of the bus, it was all muddy. One of my classmate, a boy, complained just because of his shoes, pants, and his leg got all muddy, we all laughed. It was very fun, exciting, has many interesting animals, and I had lots of fun with my friends. The first animal we saw was the biggest fish in the zoo. It is bigger and wider the my teachers, it can eat a human. There was lots of birds, crocodiles, and more (and also lizards, big ones, but the lizards wasn't part of the tour, we only saw them on the ground). Then there were more. We touched two of the eagles. The first one had creepy eyes, it is so big. The second one was the prettiest, the feathers are so small. we walked, walked, walked, and walked until we are all tired. Then we had lunch in the zoo, all of the sections were jealous, because we were the only section ate in the zoo the rest was in the bus. After lunch we got in the bus, then went to our next destination.

Our next destination is the "Blanco Family Museum". The paintings were so beautiful. I didn't took any pictures. It is about a whole family painting. The father, Jose V. Blanco, is the only member of the family that have finished fine arts. He thought the whole family to paint. They have started painting 11 months. All of thier paintings are very interesting. I When I look at some of the pictures they are like actual photos, but nope it isn't. It is real paint, the effects are so beautiful.
After we went all around the museum, at the end we can see their sketches. Then we went back to the bus.

While we were in the bus, I was with my best friend, B.P. We were bored, so she slept just for a while. I was playing reload with my other friends. Our trip from th museum to our school is maybe 1hour or 1 and a half.

My Birthday!

September 5 was my birthday, I'm now 10 years old. My birthday cake was honey cake, which is my favorite. I'm thanking my mom and dad for taking care of me so I could have more years to come. They have been taking good care of us. My mom blogged about me turning 10. I love my family so much!

How fast does time go. I felt yesterday I was just holding my bottle, now I'm 10. I thank God that He blessed me all those 10 happy years. He and my family helped me pass so many things. I am so happy to be 10. I love to enjoy life, especially family times.
